Holidaying on Lanzarote
The fourth largest island in the Canarian archipelago, Lanzarote
owes its alien landscape in large part to massive volcanic eruptions
over a six-year period from 1730. These days the island is a mecca
for travellers in search of activity holidays, offering perfect conditions
for sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing and, of course, sun bathing.

Magic Island Lanzarote...
Just 70 miles off the eastern coast of Africa, Lanzarote has a perfect
year-round climate that is somewhat drier than its neighbours. Annual
rainfall is just 5.5 inches.
Much of Lanzarote appears to be not of this
world, its landscape ranging from the starkness of the black volcanic
lava fields of Timanfaya National Park to the sheer beauty and tranquility
of the golden sandy beaches just a few miles away at Papagayo.
A coach ride round the national park’s route of the volcanoes is an essential
for any visitor to Lanzarote, followed by a short camel ride to gaze into the
mouth of one of the volcanic craters.
