Imposing caves and lots of possibilities for many kinds of sports

Haría is situated in the north of the island Lanzarote and is one of the most beautiful villages you can visit here.The surrounding area of the village is called the "valley of the 1000 palms".

The centre of the village is the "Plaza de la Constitución" with its wonderful in classical style build city hall. This is the meeting place of the locals. Around this place are some small bars, where one can have a nice glass of wine or some typical canary food.

Many local inhabitants live from agriculture, while others depend on the tourism.

A very special sight around Haría is "Los Jameos del Agua". These are a unique coherent cave systems. The heart of the cave system is situated in Haría and the island government decided to create a centre of art, culture and tourism.

Something just as interesting is the cave system "Cueva de Los Verdes". This cave system has the longest lava flow in the world and has a very interesting illumination.

Near to Guatiza one can visit the Jardín de Cactus, the garden of the cactus. There are more then 10.000 cacti in this garden.

A very good opportunity to practice sport is to ride the bike. One has very good opportunity to ride the bike and to enjoy the surrounding landscape. One can also do windsurfing, sailing or play golf.

This is a wonderful resort for people who would like to enjoy the quietness far away from the main touristic places.
