Yaiza is a small, charming village in the sout-west of the isle of Lanzarote. In former times it has been a quiet place, but nowadays it has become a famous resort visited by many people.

Many visitors, who are interessted in nature and like activities such as hiking, come to see the Timanfaya National Park, which has a big part belonging to the comunity of Yaiza. Visitors can discover the wonderful surroundings by an excursion through the National Park.

The National park offers an amazing volcanic landscape, which impress all the visitors. Most eruptions were taking place between 1930 and 1936, but still the vulcano is activ.

Anohter highlight of Yaiza is Playa Blanca, containing one of the most wonderful beaches of Lanzarote called "Playa Papagayo". Here you can take a refreshing bath in the atlantic ocean and enjoy the beach and the sun.

Playa Blanca is a well developed touristic resort and offers everything a visitors heart desires. You find a big shopping mall, many restaurants and bars, discoteques and hotels. Playa Blanca provides a perfect infastructure and modern tourist facilities.
